Today is very exciting, as we have a threefer! In the neighborhood of Charlottenburg, in southwest Berlin, Germany, is one of the biggest collections of sports fields I have ever seen. There are at least ten soccer fields, two dozen tennis courts, a baseball diamond, and quite a few other fields with markings that I don’t recognize. Click on the image for a larger size.
As you can see if you check out Google Maps, the yellow-orange spots are tennis courts and the soccer fields are all different colors.
What are these even made from? Is that black one actually a soccer field, or is someone at Google just messing with us?
If you look to the northwest of the track in the middle, you get a surprise:
It’s a fourth track! It looks like it isn’t used as a full track anymore, but it still has that same wonderful shape. Click on the image for a close-up.
At the north side of the entire complex is the Heinz-Galinski School, which looks totally awesome from above.
